In 1936, Gwynedd Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) was discontinued after its three preparative meetings, Gwynedd, Norristown and Plymouth, had been established as monthly meetings. The members of Gwynedd Preparative Meeting became members of this newly organized Gwynedd Monthly Meeting. Gwynedd Preparative Meeting was established in 1702. In 1714, the preparative meeting was transferred to Gwynedd Monthly Meeting. In 1827, after the Hicksite Separation in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, the meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. Gwynedd Preparative Meeting was established in 1702. In 1714, the preparative meeting was transferred to Gwynedd Monthly Meeting.
